Jamaican Black Castor Oil: Beating Science With Experience
The Jamaican Black Castor Oil is like any other castor oil when it comes to its root source. It comes from the seeds of the castor plant also known as Ricinus communis. The only difference here is how it is prepared.
Many herbal oil formulations which are being produced worldwide follow some acceptable standard preparation. The seeds are pressed to produce the oil. This will obviously be collected. The Jamaican Black Castor Oil is prepared differently where, instead of pressing the seeds first, they are roasted till they turn black. But not too much that they will dry up. The resultant color of the seeds is the reason behind the name Black Castor Oil.
According to most practitioners, the Jamaican Black Castor Oil is more potent than its regular counterpart. It may have been the effect of the heat on the seeds. It may have stirred up some of its natural contents resulting to the production of oils which are more potent. The reason behind this is the change in its pH which becomes more alkaline than usual. And the higher the pH, the more potent it becomes especially in cleansing any part of the body.
Moreover, its alkaline nature also makes the pores seem like more permeable. It easily passes through thus increasing the chances of causing its effects on the body.
Jamaican Black Castor Oil also has different variations depending on the process with which it is prepared. And each kind of formulation has its own indication.
Three of the more common preparations of castor oil include being cold pressed and the difference again is in the first step. Then there is also the traditional Jamaican way which was discussed above. Lastly, it’s extracting the oil from the castor seeds using a particular solvent. This is the one we see in the market. This particular preparation is mass produced by pharmaceutical companies.
